We combine expected bars per hour with live or overridden item prices. Costs include ores, halved coal for Blast Furnace bars, coffer upkeep, stamina doses, and optional GE tax on sales. Profit/hr = (Sale value of bars – total costs) × bars/hr.
Blast Furnace assumes frequent running and paid foreman support on themed worlds. Stamina doses and the hourly coffer are real GP costs that meaningfully affect profit, so we include them for accuracy.
It applies a sale-side tax (0–2%). We subtract this from the output bar prices so your profit reflects actual post-tax returns.
Goldsmith Gauntlets raise gold bar XP per bar (22.5 → 56.2). They don't directly change market prices, but higher XP/hr may change your training choice even if profit is lower.

One mechanic halves coal requirements for applicable bars (e.g., steel needs 1 coal instead of 2), which improves both cost and throughput and is reflected in our calculations.
